I typically never write referrals. But our recent experience with Kostas Roofing is worth mentioning. After a recent major storm, one of our ceilings came in on us in the back bedroom. We had water, soggy insulation, and broken sheet rock all over the floor. Based on a referral, we called Paul at Kostas and he came right out. The damage was extensive. Paul wrote us up an estimate, and said he’d be happy to get started on it right away. We told him that we still wanted to get a couple more quotes, and that we’d get back to him. We called two more roofing contractors that morning. The first one didn’t have time to come out that morning, but he gave us a rough estimate over the phone, indicating that he might be able to take care of it in a few days. Considerably higher than Kostas, we called a second roofer. He said he’d be right out to check out the roof. We waited for 2 hours before we called him back. He apologized, said he was in route, and would see us in about 1 hour. After another hour and 45 minutes, we called him a third time (and 4th,5th..) – no answer, no show. It’s now about 5 pm, and what had started out as a clear day was now quickly looking like rain. We called Paul back at Kostas, and again, he came out immediately with his brother Nick and crew, and got to work. By sunset, they had the old roofing torn off and set us up with an emergency patch until morning. They came back out at 8 am, and had the roof finished up by noon. What an efficient crew! Best experience we’ve had with a contractor.

I called three different roofing companies – Kostas was the first to show up. They quickly surveyed the leak, and clearly explained our options for addressing the issue. The entire roof needed to be replaced, including some wood replacement where the water had been getting in – this was much more than the simple roof repair we were hoping for. Money was tight – and I simply didn’t have the money to pay for the roof. Regardless, they started replacing the roof that same day – and allowed me to pay it off in 3 payments. Bless you!
